A group of scientists are gathered by a mysterious host to work on a science project more advanced than anything they have ever seen before, but they soon discover that their host is more than just a generous scientist.

It is pretty cool how the scientists are gathered, with them having to pass a test before being invited. This Island Earth looks like a 1955 science fiction movie. All the advanced parts look very scientific and the Interositer is pretty fancy.

This Island Earth has everything you want in a sci fi movie. Flying saucers, advanced alien technology and of course a classic science fiction movie monster. The Metaluna Mutant is one of the most iconic creatures to come from 1950′s science fiction movies with its huge head and eyes and claws for hands it captures the imagination of the viewers.

The message about This Island Earth is one of peace before its too late and as such works very well. This is a good movie, not surprisingly dated both in effects and story and yet still relevant and enjoyable.
