Book Review – The Lair – Stephen Fry

Book

A public school boy recounts his times at school as he grows up.

Once you get by the public school boys giving each other hand jobs, you can really enjoy the humour, wit and craziness of the story. The plot jumps back and forth like a cat on a hot tin roof but the main character of Adrian Healey is enjoyable to watch develop and grow.

While The Liar is so different to what I normally enjoy, its hard not to laugh or smile at every turn of the page as a dirty joke, a witty comment or just some downright funny things happens. It really felt as if the pages turned quicker and quicker as you became more drawn into the story.

Very enjoyable and while a little bizarre, well worth the read.
