Criminal Christmas # 4 – Entrapment

An insurance agent tries to track down and capture a famous art thief. Things are not what they seem though.

Sean Connery is the old master and Catherine Zeta Jones, the insurance agent who is try to get him. Connery plays a wise old man, which he has done in nearly every movie for the last fifteen years, and Zeta Jones looks lovely and shapely and well, is good to look at, which she has done for the last fifteen years or so.

The plot is one that perhaps shouldn’t be examined too closely with large holes appearing with every turn. Its a fun idea for a movie but one that comes over a more silly than thrilling. Its fun to watch but its not anything that could be taken seriously at any point.

The final heist setting is spectacular and it is a fairly original idea but one that is sadly lacking in execution. There are many better heist movies out there, admittedly without Connery and Zeta Jones, but with a better plot, that make a lot more sense than this one.
